Abebooks tiene 75 millones de libros que vender. Ahora intenta ser la alternativa de Amazon en las fechas de compras que se avecinan, promocionando sus libros en el mundo universitario y estudiantil americano. Para ello se ha asociado con la compañía Aloha Airlines regalando viajes a Hawai. La campaña la realiza su Tienda de Vacaciones on line, que tiene como misión ayudar a encontrar el libro-regalo para cada cliente. 800.000 señalizadores de lectura dispondran los libreros para acompañar a los pedidos de noviembre y diciembre.

"2005 Holiday Campaign
Abebooks has partnered with Aloha Airlines for this year’s Holiday campaign. The online Holiday Shop and gift guide have been set up to help customers find the perfect gift for everyone on their list, and gives booksellers the opportunity to suggest their books as gifts to browsing customers. The campaign is supported with over 800,000 holiday bookmarks that have been made available to booksellers to distribute in all book orders in November and December."
