Manuscritos mecanografiados de los capitulos iniciales de "In a Free State" del premio Nobel V S Naipaul, y de "Holiday", la segunda novela de Stanley Middleton, fueron enviados a 20 editores y agentes como si fueran obras de autores noveles. Todos los manuscritos, menos uno, fueron rechazados como obras sin interés.
