Reparto de libros y libros de repartimientos

Ahora los libros y archivos son objetos de deseo y reparto de gente de la política. No es de extrañar que el Ayuntamiento de Orihuela intente recuperar su “Libro de los Repartimientos” con la misma facilidad con que lo dejó perder en otra época.

El “Llibre dels Repartiments dels terres entre vehins de la molt Noble y Leal e Insigne Ciutat de Oriola.”, escrito en 1310, recoge la nueva composición del territorio de la comarca de la Vega Baja después de la reconquista cristiana en el siglo XIII, y supone por ello una buena parte de la historia de éstas tierras. Fue vendido hace años a la Diputación de Barcelona por un librero. Desde el año 1931 se han realizado gestiones y peticiones desde Orihuela para conseguir que vuelva al Archivo Histórico de la Ciudad. (Más)
